A new rv will cost more and be made with space taking things I don't need and be cheaply made. A used one would be the same just older with more problems but cost less than a new one but I'd probably have to put money into it. I am sure it will be a nice camp when you finish. Keep sharing them pics with them boys.

Oh yeah, I use to sleep with my head next to the window and wake up in the morning all wet with dew from the night air. Good old days? Yep, slept many a night with my head next the the window when I was young. You'd wake up during the night cold. Man, I remember sleeping at our camp in the marsh in Fourchon as a kid. Just had a generator for lights, when it ran out of gas we light the Coleman lanterns, when those went out it was bed time. Used to stay up listening to the older guys playing cards, talking to each other in Cajun French. We'd open the windows and sleep next to the screen. I used to love the smell of the marsh and hearing the coons messing around outside. Sometimes they'd get to fighting on the front porch. Good times and great memories.

Nothing better than the windows open, the wind blowing and the rain falling at the camp for a good nap before an afternoon duck hunt.

I'll put a pulley in a tree if I have to cape one out. I caped Kalebs out last year while laying on the 4 wheeler trailer. It wasn't fun. What I have is a boat crank with a cable (can get one for $25 I think) bolted to a piece of wood. We ratchet strap it to a tree/limb. We either tie a pulley to a higher limb or just throw the cable/hook over a limb. Hook it to a gambrel and crank the deer up. Simple, portable method for skinning one in the field or on a OOS trip. Thought I had a picture of mine (I do, just cannot find it), but this is where I got the idea from.

Been taking it slow. Had company stay over the last 4 days. Time to get back on it. One wall left to insulate. Can't wait till thats over. I hate not seeing progress. Take a board down, cut in insulation, put board back up, looks like you didn't get anyway where....Need to get motivated again.

You almost ready to camp out in that thing with the boys Well, when I look back at it I think, I'm getting somewhere now. Then I start thinking of all the other things that still need to be done...... Got a lot further to go. But at least its starting to look like a camp.

Spent way too many days at my camp building instead of relaxing.

Is the timber company going to let you put some limestone under the covering?
We have one like that at our deer camp. It's holding up pretty well

That's nice. You'll be able to sit outside in a rain shower, have a place the hang wet clothes and muddy boots.
