I didn't discover until after I got the skull mount back on "Pointless" that he was starting to grow a second beam on his left side. Although it was very small and not recordable, it had it's own pedestal. It was about 1/4 inch in length and visible on the the deer. I didn't see it until I went back and looked at the pictures. If you look below the left antler you can see where it actually broke the skin.

I'd like to see the grandson that took the other side of the genes. LOL This buck was not going to reach anywhere near what Pitchfork was.

pretty cool find... You never know with whitetails... I had one on camera with white spots down its back this year... It was a 2 1/2 year old 8 point. Pretty cool. I also found a whitetail doe skill in the woods last year with k-9's on top just like elk
