Well it our early muzzleloader here in DE. The deer have switched from corn piles to acorns heavy. I havent had the chance to hunt that much but the deer are on their feet in the mature timber burning the white oaks up. I had a buddy connect on a decent deer the other morning. It needed one more year being a 3 1/2 year old but he was happy with him. Ended up being and 11 point and dressed out 140 lbs. I had the oppertunity to shoot a nice deer but passed on him knowing there are bigger deer around. I almost gave him a dirt nap and still unsure about my decision... *lol* but oh well thats the way it goes. Cant shoot great deer if you shoot them before their prime. here is a pic.

Congrats to your bud on a fine buck. Don't loose sleep about passing that buck bambe. You know that the secret to shooting big bucks is to only shoot big bucks.
